In 13 years to date we've trained over 14,000 2nd grade students how to swim from 44 of our schools

T. Dianne Bellamy Small was elected to serve as the District 1 representative in 2016, after 14 years of serving as a statewide parent advocate, trainer, consultant for Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center and trainer for the GCS Title I Conference.

 

In 2024 Bellamy Small was elected to serve as a North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) member

 

In addition, she has served GCS as a substitute teacher, trainer, performer and volunteer

Served the Greensboro City Council District 1 from 2003-2013 and served in leadership roles on state and national leadership boards

 

She holds a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill

and

post-graduate degrees from Duke and the University of Maryland
